I'm merely reposting this from my tumblr page which was where I originally publicized my transcription, lyrics, and translation.
I still intend to refine my translation eventually! Although serviceable, it's not a translation that expresses the song's story intent well orz.
In this repost, I color-coded various sections such as the singable lyrics (in romaji), transcription reading (in romaji), and various boldfaced headers.
Uwaa I finished transcribing this!!
And I finished translating it too. (´・ω・`)
After several years.. Zektbach finally graced us with the lyrics to Turii ~Panta Rhei~ from the latest Epic of Zektbach guidebook! Special thanks to lemishie (I’m so happy that you let me see it in person ahh thank you~~) and the kind person who scanned the whole book and shared it!!
Note: This is a transcription from a fan whose Japanese is very, very out of practice! I did the best I could to read the characters as correctly as possible, but it’s possible that I messed up somewhere. The same goes for the translation.. that should be read with caution because I don’t have a good track record of making any sense with my translation LOL.I’ll edit if there’s anything I can fix (whether I catch it myself or others kindly point it for me). I’ll even include a link to another translation if it’s available elsewhere.
Song Details:
My Transcription Notes:I was about to split this entirely.. but I felt it was an injustice to alter the original layout so here’s the whole thing.
- The original lyrics being sung are of a invented language and consequently was phonetically written entirely in katakana. Below the singable lyrics contains a meaningful translation in Japanese.
- I included romaji for the singable lyrics in case someone wants to try singing the song. Just don’t sing [コーラス/koorasu something] since they're just dividers. The translation/explanation in Japanese is there for explanation only. It’s not designed for singing at all.
- I included the romaji for the explanation as well since it helps to show how I read the explanation. Maybe it’ll be useful to point out the parts that I read incorrectly.
Mini translation notes:
- コーラス (koorasu) = chorus
- 小節 (shousetsu) = measure
- メインボーカル (meinvoccaru) = main vocal
- 日本語訳 (nihongoyaku) = Japanese translation

English Translation Notes:Here’s my translation of the Japanese translation/explanation above.
- I feel that this isn’t a good translation on the basis that this song was too difficult for my skill level.
- At least two vocabulary terms (with readings in parentheses above) were ones found in a Chinese dictionary of some sort.. and not the Japanese ones I use LOL.
- I also have little to no idea on why the first and last chorus ends its verb tenses with ~an. Again, it’s a type of grammar that’s out of my skill level and my poor web searching and textbook perusing netted me little confirmation on how such sentences should be read.
- Oh, I think it goes without saying that I took a few liberties in figuring out what some line meant as a result.
- I know the above transcription is quite convoluted.. but if you like, it’d be great if a better translation gets made.
My Translation:Chorus:
The fire mountain and the throwing stones of its blaze has beaten countries
The blue ocean and its coffin of turbulence turned the ship loose
Heaven and earth’s profoundness had beckoned each teared person
Chorus:
Each story of the Turii
roars the sound of logic
worshipping the pronouncement of heaven and earth’s
destiny with great joy
Main Vocal:
The fruit of knowledge tasted by the children
took in hand arrogance and commands
with a change of reason, has floundered their wings
falling, disappearing into the maze of hell
Main Vocal:
The creation and demise of seeds
multiplied into the makeup of beautiful existences
Main Vocal:
All creation are vicissitudes of the harmonious world
where everything melts together, congregating within a single river
Chorus:
The wind and the furious claws of the tree has mowed down
masses of clouds, the dark curtain next to the sun that hid
causing the sky’s thunderbolts to roar, setting free the the tip of light
guiding all things in nature, the arc of life, beyond
